Sales Knowledge Mine
Template
Thank you for your interest in
using the The YPS Group's Sales Knowledge Mine "FrontPage" template. We
applaud your decision to begin thorough documentation of your sales process and
best practices. It's the first, most critical step in Sales Process
Engineering and one that you will likely find to be more enlightening and
challenging than you expect.
Three versions of the template
will be provided:
We strongly recommend using a
"hierarchical" menu system in lieu of the standard FrontPage function. Many of these
are available and are quite easy to learn. Since it will make your Sales
Knowledge Mine mine much more user friendly, it is worth the effort. The
YPS Group uses MenuMaker from
Xara, and this is what is included in the 2nd and 3rd templates. (Note
that all of the links in Xara will need to be re-set to reflect the directory
paths used in your system.)
We also use Spooky Login for
security. This is not necessary if you put your Knowledge Mine behind your
own firewall and security system. The YPS Group uses
Spooky Login, and this is what is
included in the 3rd template.
These templates are the ones
used by The YPS Group in facilitating Sales Excellence Councils. If you
are running an "SEC" without YPS support, implementation, updates, changes and
maintenance of these templates is your responsibility. They are provided
on an "as is" basis only.
The YPS Group does not
support or provide any warranty of any kind for the Xara or Spooky software.
Many other options are available and may be better suited to your needs.
They are included only as an example.
